+ I'm tickled right down to the toes these days!
The scissors are snipping into the wee hours of the night, and my glue pots, stash of glass glitters, and the old presses are being used all day every day.
I've never worked harder or loved it more.
+ If you'd like to visit my little rose covered cottage studio, just let me know. It's awash in glitters and glues, bits of paper, dashes of ink and other wee little oddments. The old presses smell deliciously of printer's ink and there are tantalizing snippets of cut paper blossoms sticking out from the shabby flat cabinets I pulled from my friend's barn. Welcome to my world, where real life truly is the best fairy tale!
+ As always, the cottage is chock full of interesting projects! My new book on silhouette decor will be out from Lark Books in early 2009... the last bits are just wrapping up now and the photo shoots underway. Love Letters, a fabric collection from Clothworks Textiles is shipping to stores soon. Sunrise Greetings cards are just hitting the stores now... and so on! There are splashes of ink on the desk top from the new calligraphy pieces I've been working on and snips of paper everywhere. Watch for sneak peeks on my blog.
And I'm enjoying being Victoria Magazine's artist in residence for 2008. Join me in November for a creative conference put on by the most feminine of all magazines. I'll be speaking and sharing free goodies printed by hand on my antique press.
